all-church campout

Every year we get back to nature as a whole church. (Of course, that doesn't include the people who come camping in a trailer as big as a house, but it's the thought that counts!) This year's campout will be held July 25-27 at Whiting Campground in Mapleton Canyon (southeast of Provo off Hwy 89). Cost is $15 per single or $25 per family for three days of fun, including the world-famous Dutch Oven cooking competition. THERE WILL BE NO SERVICES HELD THIS WEEKEND!

Directions: Take I-15 south to the second Springville exit (not 261). Head east about two miles to the intersection of Main Street and 400 S. Turn south (right) onto Main and stay in the right lane. The road forks, so keep right on Hwy 89 heading toward Price. At Hwy 147, also called Maple Street (there is a Conoco on the left), turn left and head east again. Follow this until you get to Main Street in Mapleton. Please note that this is not marked well. There is no light, but Mapleton City Park will be on the southeast corner of the intersection. Turn north (left) and go to 400 N. Turn right at the sign that says Whiting Campground. Stay on 400 N for approximately two miles. The group areas for the campground will be on your right, just over the bridge.!
