New Series Starting — The Bible on Trial @ The Rock Taylorsville
Jun 30 @ 7:00 pm

Over the years, no book has come under more criticism and scrutiny than the Bible. People have looked for ways to disprove and dismiss it. Even today, the accusations and claims made against it are staggering. With the endless discoveries being made in the worlds of academia and science alone (not to mention archeological discoveries), is there any reason to believe the Word of God? In a court of law, would the claims of the Bible withstand the scrutiny of its opponents? Are there witnesses and evidence to defend the Scriptures?

Join us at The Rock Church (starting June 30), as we cross-examine several of the claims and accusations made against the Bible and its trustworthiness. Hear the arguments, listen to the testimonies, and then you be the judge. What’s your verdict?

Italy Mission Meeting 2017 @ The Rock Draper
Jul 8 @ 8:00 pm

The Rock Church is headed back to Italy for a short-term mission trip this October! We’ve partnered with our sister churches in Italy since 2003 and have fostered a great relationship with those dear folks. We’re eager to go back and would love for you to join us. There will be an information meeting on Saturday, July 8 at 8:00 p.m., right after the church service (11630 S 700 E).

The people of Italy may live in a very religious culture, but they desperately need to hear the Gospel. Two-thirds of them don’t go to church after age 12. Many have turned away from church completely and have chosen to follow other paths (such as Communism, New Age or Islam). Recent statistics show that only 1.1% of Italians are Born Again and live a life of personal faith in Jesus Christ.

While we’re there, we’ll assist our sister churches with hosting spiritually-focused English Clubs at the universities in their cities. Students who want to develop their English skills (by using the Bible as the text) register to participate in this week-long class and we’ll be their “teachers”.

This is a life-changing opportunity for anyone who is able to go. It’s a chance to step out in faith with others, travel to Italy, and serve those who need to hear about Jesus! If you have any questions, please contact Brent Kendall, Tony D’Amico, or Steve McInroy.

Mission to the City
Jul 14 – Jul 22 all-day

The Rock Cares Ministry is excited to announce a “Mission to the City” initiative planned for July 14 — July 22. During every day (and night) of that week, we’ll be serving our community in some amazing ways. Not only will we be partnering with some of our Rock Cares Ministries (Salt Lake Rescue Mission, Pregnancy Resource Center, and others), but we’ll also participate in hosting a Draper Days booth at Draper Park and a Blood Drive at our church building.

We know there are many needs throughout the Salt Lake Valley — our hope is to respond with the love of Christ by taking action. We are asking you, the Church, to roll up your sleeves and join us! This week is an incredible opportunity to practically help those in need. We will organize and support all of these events to help make our “Mission to the City” a true blessing to those we’re serving and also to the family of The Rock Church.

Please contact Bryan Edwards or Steve McInroy with any needs or questions. You can email Chris and Amber Roberts to get your name on the list to serve. Don’t miss out on this chance to serve with The Rock Cares “Mission to the City”!
