Let’s face it, there are many young people who are deeply interested in spirituality, but don't feel comfortable in a church. In fact, many of them feel that the struggles they face are often overlooked and ignored by the church. The Rock U is a custom-built community, uniquely designed to meet the needs of today's twenty-something singles and college students. We've modified church for a generation that didn't really like church to begin with.

Everyone needs a home away from home — a place where they can relax, a place where they can learn, a place that makes it easier to live in our crazy mixed-up world. And sometimes that place isn’t a “place” at all. The Rock U is like that, but it's not a place — it's a community. We live our lives together, developing meaningful friendships with one another as we develop our individual relationships with God. Because relationships are important to our community, we've created lots of different ways to build those friendships.

SMALL GROUPS
If you like talking to people and eating food, come check out one of our small groups. These groups are exactly what they sound like — a handful of people hanging out with the purpose of getting to know each other. Most of the time these small groups will meet in homes, so it's a great way to take a break from campus life.

THE NEXT LEVEL
This is our Wednesday night meeting that goes a little deeper. The Next Level is where you want to go if you really want to figure out what this Jesus guy is all about. We meet at The Rock Church at 195 W 2100 S. We hang out, listen to some music, hear a relevant teaching about how the Bible relates to our lives, then we hang out some more. There's a lot of that kind of thing around here.

SATURDAY NIGHTS
Saturday nights at 6:48 p.m. is our "official" church service, although there's nothing official about it. We've gotten rid of the pews and hymnals and traded them in for rock-and-roll bands and an indoor climbing wall.

Here's the point. The Rock U isn't just another church. And it isn't just another one of those churches that promises it's not just another church. The Rock U is a home away from home. It’s a group of people just like you, and maybe some people who are nothing like you at all, who all have one thing in common — a desire to love God and live their lives following Christ.
