YES! I want to help serve. Please place me in the following ministries . . . |

Ministries in HIGH Priority of Need |
| |
| |
|
CHILDCARE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Krista Whitney — kristawhitney@hotmail.com Here’s an opportunity that will have a profound impact for years to come. By watching over our little ones (nursery/toddlers) dur- ing the service, you’re able to share the love of Christ with impressionable little minds while giving their parents a break. Need to arrive 15 minutes before the service. |
| |
| |
|
KIDS CHURCH . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Tim Stephan — tstephan51@hotmail.com
Another awesome way to affect future generations! Prepare a simple lesson (curriculum provided) and teach it to kids aged K-sixth. Time of serving is during the message and commitment is for a month at a time. Parents are strongly encouraged to help! |
| |
| |
|
CLEAN-UP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Rob McElaney — rjm0516@aol.com This one is pretty self-explanatory, huh? After each service, you’ll stay and help with basic tasks such as sweeping, mopping, clean- ing restrooms, vacuuming, emptying trash, etc. Very simple, and very important! |
| |
| |
|
VIDEO/POWERPOINT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Matt Scribner — matt@experiencetherock.com
Directors and operators are needed. The director is responsible for leading the camera operators in fluid synchronization with the PowerPoint, sound, and lighting personnel. Camera operators are responsible for running the video cameras while taking instruction from the director. This is a great ministry if you’re creative! Training is required. |
| |
| |
|
STOREFRONT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Tony D’Amico — tony@experiencetherock.com This is your opportunity to help distribute CDs, books, Tshirts, and other Rock gear. Times of serving are about 30 minutes before and 45 minutes after the service. It’s a big plus if you’ve had any prior retail experience. It’s also very helpful if you’re a “people” person with a decent knowledge of The Rock and our ministries. Minimal training is required. |

Ministries in MEDIUM Priority of Need |
| |
| |
|
SECURITY/PARKING . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Dave Dreyer — unclejedimaster@gmail.com
Here’s something that anyone can do! All you really need to do is point cars in the right direction and beat people up if they get out of hand (OK — maybe not quite that severe). And since we care very much about protecting our Christian sisters as they walk through city parking lots on dark nights, we prefer that this ministry is handled by the brothers. |
| |
| |
|
WELCOME/GREETERS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sierra Tolman — atruebeliever@gmail.com
Here’s another great opportunity if you’re a “people” person! Involves preparing and handing out programs before the service while greeting everyone with a smile. Should be comfortable approaching complete strangers and engaging in conversation, making them feel welcome and at home at The Rock. It’s a perfect opportunity to introduce visitors to other people and help them get plugged in to our church. Need to arrive 30 minutes early. |
| |
| |
|
LOCK-UP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Zach Soper — soper.z@gmail.com
If you prefer hanging around until the very end, this is for you! Not a lot of time required, but you do need to wait until everyone leaves before you can turn out all the lights, make sure everyone is gone, lock all the doors, etc. Rarely goes past 10:00 or 10:30. |
| |
| |
|
PRAYER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ryan Sadler — rsadler777@yahoo.com
There’s power in prayer, and that’s why we have a small group of people who pray during each of our services! You would be sched- uled once every couple of months with prayer times occurring during the message — praying for lives to be changed, for people with needs, for upcoming church activities, etc. This is a great way to deepen your prayer life and get closer to other believers! |
| |
| |
|
BAPTISMS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Ryan Sadler — rsadler777@yahoo.com This ministry opportunity only occurs once a month and involves the set-up and tear-down of the baptismal font. It’s typically filled with water a day or two in advance for the heaters to start working (so the water is at least a few degrees above freezing), and then emptied right after the service. |

|
SET-UP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Dave Dreyer — unclejedimaster@gmail.com Yup, this is just what it sounds like — turning on lights, unlocking doors, placing our signs on street corners, straightening chairs, etc., making sure everything looks good and is ready to go. It typically takes about 30 minutes to do the initial set-up, then about another 15 minutes for a few miscellaneous tasks once the service starts. |
| |
| |
|
COFFEE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Matt Miller — matt9204@hotmail.com I think you already understand the immense importance of coffee at The Rock! There are usually two people preparing the coffee and working together as a team, keeping everything stocked for the night. Need to arrive 45 minutes early, and usually close down and clean up about 45 minutes after the service is over. |
| |
| |
|
ROCK WALL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Joey Henderson — brittanyk.henderson@gmail.com Involves fitting climbing harnesses, belaying the climbers, and providing instruction whenever possible. Climbing and belaying experience is required, as well as some training. Belaying skills will need to be tested and approved prior to serving. Times of serv- ing are about 45 minutes both before and after the service. |
| |
| |
|
SOUND . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mark Scheering — mark@experiencetherock.com The incredible sound we have at The Rock doesn’t just come from expensive equipment. It takes skilled technicians who know what they’re doing, and that’s why it adds so much to The Rock worship experience. Training is required as well as early afternoon arrivals for sound checks. |
| |
| |
|
LIGHTS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Michael Foster — fostaman@gmail.com
Another great way to enhance the mood and vibe of our worship experience. But this also takes skilled technicians who know what they’re doing, so some training is required. |
