Greetings parents and youth of The Rock!It was great to see you all last Thursday! God is at work in our youth group!
This Thursday we'll meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Sandy building. Here's what you can expect after some incredible worship...
- Grounded teaching: Mr. Peterie will begin teaching our Grounded series with part one: Truth. We'll break down into small groups to discuss the video and teaching.
- Finance teaching: Mr. Mathison will begin teaching our Generation Change finance series with part one: Value of You. We'll also break down into small groups to discuss the video and teaching.
- Treats: The Peteries and Youngs are signed up (please bring enough to feed 25 or so).
- Testimony: Everyone will eventually get a chance, but this week I've scheduled Stephen Young and Emma Roberts (surprise!). Briefly share your past (life before Christ), the process (how God began to work in your life), the point (moment of salvation), and the present (how Jesus has made a difference in your life today).
- Memory verse: Memorize this verse for a chance to earn some Bible Bucks. "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ" (Romans 8:9).
