Pray

I’m thankful to be a part of a group of Utah County pastors and leaders who meet monthly, in an effort to build unity and pray together for the cause of Christ. We met last week and spent some time sharing about the different ways each of our ministries were reaching out to our communities. I was very encouraged by all the stories of people trusting God and the creative ideas being implemented. There were so many ministries being led just within the small group of leaders that had attended our prayer time this month.

One of my friends mentioned something that day that I have heard many times before and have no doubt said myself. This time, however, it rocked me to the core. He said, “We have been praying people into heaven.” This truth seems so elementary, that I think I can easily forget how incredibly important our prayers can be. It brings to mind Jude 1:20, “But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.”
We all have access to God and we can ask Him anything at anytime. He loves it when we do. Hopefully, you will take this to heart and simply pray. Perhaps, at this very moment, you can actively participate in praying someone into heaven. I’m sure they’ll be glad that you did.

Approaching His throne,

Mac
