Good News for the Shepherds (Luke 2:8-20)

In these verses from Luke (Chapter 2), we'll be examining the Christmas story through the eyes of the shepherds. God gives them (and all of us, who will receive it) a front row seat to the most incredible event in human history. We will see that the birth of Jesus was Good News then, and it’s still Good News today!

Scripture References: Luke 2:8-20

From Series: "Good News"

Christmas is the time of year when the world remembers the Good News that is found in Jesus Christ. During the Christmas season, the most read passages of Scripture will be from the story told in Luke 1 & 2. These verses tell of the announcement of a Savior (born of a virgin), of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, the appearance of angels, and the shepherds going to the stable where baby Jesus lay. This Christmas, we’re going to look a little more deeply into this familiar story. In doing so, we will discover that 2,000 years later, the story of Jesus is still GOOD NEWS.
