As the sun rose over the rolling hills of Cluj-Napoca, we were reminded of God’s beautiful creation all around us. Despite the long hours of travel and little sleep, our first day in Romania was marked not by exhaustion or nerves, but by peace, joy, and a deep sense of purpose.
From the warm welcome at the airport by Liz and Bogdan to the incredible hospitality at Casa Speranței, we felt like we had come home to a place we’d never been before. Sharing this mission with our family and church team from The Rock has already made this journey unforgettable.

We spent the day exploring the countryside, meeting new friends, and ending the evening in sweet fellowship with the local children who brought so much laughter and joy. Their openness and pure hearts reminded us of the simple yet powerful love of God. Every smile, every shared moment, felt like a divine appointment. If this is just the beginning, we know God has so much more in store. We’re grateful, expectant, and excited for what’s to come.
Thank you for praying for us! Don’t forget to follow along for updates and photos from the field on our Romania Mission Trip Facebook page.
With love,
