Jesus People

Comments Off on Jesus People

I recently had a chance to close our Philippians series with a message entitled “Jesus People.”

As Paul closed this incredible letter, he left us with what seemed like a simple farewell. But it was so much more. It was a reminder of who we are and how we’re called to live.

First and foremost, we belong to Jesus. Before others define us by our careers, accomplishments, successes, or failures, they recognize us as people who belong to Him. We don’t earn our identity. On the contrary, God gives us our identity through His grace.

Paul also reminds us that we belong to one another. God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone. Instead, He designed us to encourage, serve, and grow together in authentic community.

Trust His Grace

Paul made a remarkable statement about believers in Caesar’s household. It reminds us that God has His people everywhere.

Whether it’s in a church, an office, or a classroom. Maybe a hospital, a construction site, or a home. God has strategically placed His followers to represent Jesus wherever they are.

Finally, Paul points us back to what sustains us every day: the Grace of Jesus. Grace for our efforts, our failures, our relationships, our calling, and our future. His Grace is forever enough.

As you step into this week, remember whose you are. Live confidently in your identity in Christ. Always stay connected to His people. Equally important, go faithfully represent Him wherever He places you. And trust that His grace will meet you every step of the way.

Relying on His Grace,

Steele
