John 3:17-18a “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned…”
Thank the Lord for this truth — I need to remind myself of it daily!

As a dad, I am continually amazed by how much my little boy keeps growing and learning. He can bust out all of Michael Jackson’s dance moves, he can tell me about every slide at the park, and he ALWAYS remembers what I promised him we would do from the day before. (more…)

Typically, the best day of the week for me is Sunday. Not only do I have the day off from my day job, but I get to spend eight hours with my one year old son, while my wife is at work. The best part of the day is when my son wakes up from his morning nap. I open his bedroom door and he is standing there with a huge smile on his face waiting for me to rush over and pick him up, give him a kiss and play with him. (more…)

In May, I had the opportunity to go to Europe on a mission trip. That was the fourth trip I had been on and God was very kind to teach me something. During my quiet time on the plane, I read in Mark Chapter 5, where Jesus cast out the legion of demons in the country of Gerasenes. (more…)

The other day, I was struck by Acts 18:26. Let’s read the verse in its context.
Acts 18:24 “Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, competent in the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord. I read this verse last week in my quiet time. What an exciting visual — God’s angels leading the way to a place Jesus has prepared for our church. I have been claiming this verse for a “home of our own” — our own Sandy/Draper facility — since 2006. (more…)

A new year often motivates people to start something new and can also give us a sense of relief when we get a chance to start over. Out goes Old Man 2013 and in comes the Young Hope of 2014. Lose weight, pray more, stop smoking, start budgeting, help others, share your faith, clean your car, read your Bible, spend more time with your kids, and on and on. These are all fine things to strive for and if a New Year’s resolution helps you get there, then I say go for it. Like a fresh coat of snow covers up the dead browns of fall, we see things anew and the possibilities in the future seem endless.

In cooperation with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the people of churches across the United States and Canada will be given the tools and opportunity to view and listen to a gospel presentation by Billy Graham himself.
