  1. The Gospel

    Comments Off on The Gospel

I am so very thankful for the Gospel. Without a doubt, it has entirely changed the course of my life. And even more incredible is to know that in faith, I believe the Gospel has changed the course of my eternal life.

    Separation

Before I came to know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, I was just like every person (who also inherited sin) since the fall of Adam and Eve. A life separated from God for all eternity. I can’t begin to express the enormity of that truth in this life. Or, let’s take it further into the almost incomprehensible eternal life. Forever! Early in my walk with God, the verse below absolutely wrecked me. And even now, when I read it, I almost gasp out loud. Life-Changing Prayer — a word by Pastor Bill Young from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "let’s be a people who pray big prayers. Those people who root themselves in love. Who trust in His provision as well as lean into His power."

Ephesians 3:14a (NIV84) “For this reason I kneel before the Father…”

Encourage Others – a word by Pastor Bill Young from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "Can I encourage you as well? Don’t give up if you feel worn out, inadequate, or ineffective in the Gospel. We will eventually reap"

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today,’ so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”  (Hebrews 3:13 NIV84)

In a recent message I taught, I shared about the power and importance of encouraging others. Consequently, I then remembered a story about a man who often woke up on Sunday mornings and did not feel like attending church. “It’s boring, and the people don’t like me,” he protested. “Then why go at all?” he was asked. “Well, I have to go. I’m the pastor.”
