Promises — a word by Pastor Steve McInroy from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "I’ve learned through God’s Word just how important it is to be a man of my word. Broken promises are basically lies."

I’ve been convicted about God’s promises in the Bible. While there is no “official” count of the number of His promises to mankind, the most widely cited figure is 7,487. This comes from a meticulous study by a Canadian schoolteacher, Everett R. Storms. He spent one and a half years tallying them. This happened during his 27th reading of the Bible. Without a doubt, that’s a lot of promises

  2. To See His Glory is to See His Goodness  by

To See His Glory is to See His Goodness  — a word by Pastor Steele Croswhite from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "to see His goodness. To see a God who bends toward sinners with mercy. One who always moves toward the broken with grace."

Recently, I have been reading a tremendous book called “Gentle and Lowly” by Dane Ortlund. I would highly recommend it to anyone who longs to know the gentle and wonderful heart of God. As I read, a particular section from a familiar passage in Exodus moved me deeply.

The Lord chose to reveal His name to Moses in Exodus 34:5: “Then the Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh.”

  3. Holy Week — Easter Series 2026 by

Comments Off on Holy Week — Easter Series 2026

    Easter at The Rock Church

Holy Week is the most important week in history. And Easter is significantly more than just a single day. Holy Week was marked by powerful teachings, betrayal, warnings, fulfilled prophecy, and the clear display of God’s plan, power, and love.

It all happened in just eight days. Jesus Christ — the Son of God — entered Jerusalem on Sunday, was arrested on Thursday, was crucified and buried on Friday, and rose from the dead three days later. Why do those eight days still matter so much two thousand years later? What does that week mean for our lives today?

  4. Pray and Post a Guard by

Pray and Post a Guard — a word by Pastor Josh Whitney from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "Nehemiah’s response is one of my favorites in all Scripture: “We prayed to our God and posted a guard. ”That’s it. Prayer and action."

Nehemiah 4:9 — “But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.”

At our Men’s Nights this year, we’ve been studying Nehemiah. He returns to Jerusalem to rebuild the wall — and immediately faces opposition. Enemies threaten, intimidate, and scheme. Nehemiah’s response is one of my favorites in all Scripture: “We prayed to our God and posted a guard.”

That’s it. Prayer and action. Dependence and responsibility. They didn’t choose between spiritual and practical. Instead, they did both. Some people only pray. Others only act. Faithful believers do both.

  5. Live Worthy of the Gospel by

Live Worthy of the Gospel — a word by Pastor Bill Young from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "So, make it your ambition this week to live worthy of the Gospel. Not to get Grace, but because God has already given it to you."

I have had many people (of other faiths) try to challenge my belief in Grace. They say things like, “Pastor Bill, it seems like many Christians claim they just pray a prayer, and even if they live like hell, they go to heaven. That doesn’t seem fair.”

It’s an honest question. And if Grace simply meant “say a few magic words and do whatever you want,” I’d agree. That definitely wouldn’t seem fair at all.

    But that’s not the Gospel.

  6. Trusting God for the Growth by

Comments Off on Trusting God for the Growth
Trusting God for the Growth — a word by Pastor Caleb Yetton from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "God is ultimately in charge of the growth. He alone knows someone’s heart. Yet He calls us to be faithful."

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6–7

Seventeen of us recently returned from a 10-day short-term mission trip to the Winter Olympics in Arco and Milan, Italy. Throughout our time there, we saw God show up in incredible ways. Whether at our TRM concerts or through street busking evangelism, many on our team had meaningful Gospel conversations. I am still processing all the ways we saw and experienced God’s provision, goodness, and sovereign plan.

  7. Koinōnia Friends  by

Koinōnia Friends  — a word by Pastor Bryan D. Edwards from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "friendships in the church. He forms koinōnia people who will live, serve, carry burdens, and persevere together for the sake of Christ."

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you… 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” — Philippians 1:3,5

As we have been studying Philippians together as a church, this one word at the beginning of the letter really captured my heart: partnership.

  8. Winter Olympics Mission Trip – Finding Purpose by

Comments Off on Winter Olympics Mission Trip – Finding Purpose

Last night I believe I had one of the best meals of my entire life. It was one of those experiences where you’re kind of sad it happened because you know nothing will even come remotely close to it ever again. The food was great and the service was phenomenal (hello, we’re in Italy after all). However the real reason it was so special was because as we sat around the tables, story after story was retold of God blessing our little local church in Utah.

Funny stories, sad stories, informative stories were bouncing around the room for nearly four hours. I couldn’t help but stop and marvel at how God has so evidently protected and sustained The Rock Church over the past 25 years. And allowing us to be in Italy once again co-laboring with long-time ministry partners. What a privilege and an honor to now have been a small part of the rich history of what God is doing here in Europe. Furthermore, what God is doing in Utah through our little church.

  9. Winter Olympics Mission Trip – Arco to Milano Update by

Comments Off on Winter Olympics Mission Trip – Arco to Milano Update

Hey everyone, we made it to Milan! I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s been happening the last few days since our last update.

We finished up our time in Arco with the Testas. It was an amazing time. The final day there we went out to this beautiful lake in Arco. We busked and played some music in a town square and got into conversations with people as they walked by. We had some great interactions. A few people had some wonderful conversations, pointing people to Jesus and sharing the truth of God’s love.

  10. Reframe Your Thinking by

Comments Off on Reframe Your Thinking

Reframing doesn’t change your circumstances — it changes what your circumstances mean.

Most of us are fine following Jesus when it’s convenient. The trouble starts when faith feels costly: awkward conversations, social pressure, and tension at work. Along with family eye-rolls and that subtle “keep it private” vibe. When the heat rises, the temptation is simple: keep your head down until it gets easier.

    Paul doesn’t do that.
