The Encourager (Acts 20:1-16)

Paul, the encourager, leaves Ephesus after the riot in Acts chapter 19 and continues on his third missionary journey into Macedonia. He participates in breaking bread in what appears to be a late night church service and Eutychus falls to his death from a third story window. God sends Paul to the young mans aid and by the Holy Spirit raises him from the dead. The saints are greatly encouraged and continue fellow shipping though the night. Paul moves on and at one point chooses to walk rather than sail on, most likely to get some alone time with God. Paul was always prepared to encourage others, because he was diligent to be encouraged himself and we can learn from his many examples in the first part of Acts chapter 20.
