Good News for Mary (Luke 1:26-56)

Good News

In this first part of our Christmas series, we look at the Good News for Mary. God uses humble people (like Mary) because God is so humble Himself. Also, we see many examples of people reacting with joy to the news that Jesus is about to enter into our world. Mary's powerful display of worship is an example for us — one that will protect our hearts from worry.

Scripture References: Luke 1:25-56

From Series: "Good News"

Christmas is the time of year when the world remembers the Good News that is found in Jesus Christ. During the Christmas season, the most read passages of Scripture will be from the story told in Luke 1 & 2. These verses tell of the announcement of a Savior (born of a virgin), of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, the appearance of angels, and the shepherds going to the stable where baby Jesus lay. This Christmas, we’re going to look a little more deeply into this familiar story. In doing so, we will discover that 2,000 years later, the story of Jesus is still GOOD NEWS.
