The God Who Cares

n this final chapter in the Book of Jonah, we are told about Jonah’s response to the mercy and compassion of God. When the Ninevites repented of their sins, God chose not to bring upon them the destruction that Jonah had preached. That made Jonah furious! Why? Because, unlike God, he was selfish, and didn’t care about the souls of that great city. The entire story of Jonah really isn’t about the fish or even Jonah. This concluding chapter reveals that the narrative is about a caring, compassionate God who loves people dearly and did something about it. We need to be like God in this regard.

From Series: "Jonah: Draper"

In this classic, Old Testament story, we are introduced to Jonah as a reluctant prophet. God called him to go preach to an evil city, but he refused and ran in the opposite direction. Ultimately, God’s purposes prevailed through a storm and a big fish and Jonah got back on course! God not only saved Jonah, He also had amazing mercy on the entire city of Nineveh. Join us for this powerful and relevant study through the Book of Jonah!
