Reluctant Prophet

Jonah: Draper

As we study the first chapter of Jonah, we see God's mercy towards the enemies of Israel. God tells His prophet, Jonah, to go preach in Nineveh. But, Jonah refuses and runs in the opposite direction. Talk about a reluctant prophet! But, God is merciful to Jonah and convinces His man with a storm and a great fish. There are lessons for us in this story as we can tend to be reluctant prophets, too!
