Battle for the Truth

On July 2, 1863 ,Colonel Joshua Chamberlain of the 20th Maine, Union Army, bravely defended a confederate attack on Little Round Top at Gettysburg. Chamberlain eventually ordered a bayonet charge that was hailed as one of the most heroic actions of the war for which he was eventually awarded the Medal of Honor. This battle proved to be a key to winning the Civil War - and changing the course of American History. Likewise, Paul’s defense of the Gospel - in Chapter Two of Galatians - from those who would try to add works of the law to the grace offered to us in Christ, has had an eternal impact on our world. Paul fights against the assault on his authority, which is actually an assault on the Gospel. He then stands up against the Apostle Peter in an epic showdown for grace. In this message, we’ll learn four keys to winning the battle for Truth.

From Series: "The Book of Galatians: Draper"

The Book of Galatians is one of the Apostle Paul’s most impassioned and eloquent letters. It warns Christians about the dangers of both legalism and lawlessness, calling Believers to live in the freedom of a gospel-shaped life. Throughout this book we will encounter the promises, warnings, and gospel declarations that will help us find true liberty in our identity as God’s adopted children. Join us at The Rock Church for a ten-part series at all of our locations. We'll discover the freedom found in the statement, "salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ alone”.
