Abraham

As we continue with our "Jesus Is Better" Series, we will focus on the life of Abraham. Abraham’s life is given to us in detail, and we know him as we know few men in the Bible. He was a rough, simple, nomadic sheep master. He uttered no prophecy, wrote no book, sang no song, gave no laws. Yet, in the long list of Bible saints, he alone is spoken of as “the father of the faithful” and as “the friend of God”. Join us this week as we look at three examples of faith from Abraham's life that point us directly to Jesus.

From Series: "Jesus is Better Draper"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
