Love Languages

“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35) When you know and understand your spouse, you are setting your marriage up for success. Part of this is knowing how they tick; what makes them feel treasured, valued, important, strong, beautiful, handsome, and cherished. Inside every person is an‘Emotional Tank’ waiting to be filled with love and if it is not filled, we will feel empty. Each of us Hears (receives) love differently and each of us Speaks (gives) love differently. These different forms of communicating love are called “Love Languages.” As we go through these Love Languages, we must understand that the goal of covering this is to help us, as couples, understand the importance of knowing our spouse. Gary Chapman, the author of the book, “The Five Love Languages,” sheds some light on this very important subject as we also share some practical examples to apply.
