Proverbs tells us that without a vision – direction - people don’t know what to do. Each January the president of the United States gives a State of The Union address to the nation. In it he tries to paint a picture of a preferred future to the American people. He does this by taking a look back at the year, highlighting some good things and looking ahead to a hopefully bright future.
