Shallow Foundation, Shallow Hope (1 Peter 1:1-5)

The book of First Peter was written to persecuted, suffering Christians. In the first part of our study, we look at a number of deep, foundational truths to build our lives on. We must let these truths sink deep into our hearts to give us a living hope (especially in the midst of trials and hardships)! Part One First Peter Series Shallow Foundation, Shallow Hope (1 Peter 1:1-5) Pastor Josh Whitney January 2 & 3, 2021 Draper

Scripture References: 1 Peter 1:1-5

From Series: "First Peter"

What a year it’s been! Will things get better? Is there any hope they could? It’s easy for us to believe that things will simply get better than they have been. However, the Word of God teaches us that hope is only found in one source — in Jesus. First Peter teaches us to set our hope fully on the grace of God. Through Jesus Christ we have living hope of an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. Realistic hope that will transform the way we live.
