The Power of the Empty Tomb

In Part Two of our “There Was a Garden" series, we take a look at the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This event (and the cross) are the defining events of human history. They have profound implications for every person who has ever lived. And they also have implications for our eternity as well as our lives today.

From Series: "There Was A Garden"

The most significant events in the history of mankind are the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. John 19:41-42 says that these events happened near the same place. And in that place, there was a garden. While close to each other in both time and location, the meaning of these events is quite different.

The death and burial of the Messiah (the darkest night in history) demonstrated God’s incredible sacrifice, love, and justice. At the same time, the Resurrection of the King (the brightest dawn in history) showed His power over Satan, sin, and death. These profound events are the foundation of the Gospel and the Christian faith. What is more, they have eternal implications for your life. Discover what this means for you as you join us at The Rock Church for this Easter series.
