Habakkuk

Jesus is Better Draper

In Habakkuk's three brief chapters, we see an amazing transformation in the prophet's outlook on life. His opening words express depths of despair but at the close of the book, he has risen to heights of joy. Let's look at five stages of Habakkuk's interaction with God and see how we can learn from his walk of faith and apply it to our everyday lives.

From Series: "Jesus is Better Draper"

The stories of the Old Testament can sometimes be unfamiliar to us as Christians. It says in Romans 15:4, "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." But, like this verse in Romans states, they were written to instruct us. Join us as we spend 12 weeks studying through a variety of Old Testament characters. Studying their lives in greater detail will both instruct and challenge us. But, it doesn't stop there. These Old Testament characters don't simply instruct and encourage us. They also point (like a big, old laser beam) to Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate example of what it means to live a life of faith. All of these heroes of the Old Testament are ultimately a version of or a picture of Jesus. Join us as Jesus is Better!
