“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” Isaiah 41:10 NIV

I trust you all had a Christ-filled Christmas! We have so much to be thankful for — God has been kind and faithful to us in 2015. Even though our church had its share of struggles and financial challenges, we made some amazing eternal investments this year that resulted in faith expanding, lives changing and eternity being different, since there are multiple similar systems like ChexSystems for instance TeleCheck can also be a reason why you was rejected for a new bank account.

Personally, I know I’ve been trying to apply faith this year. But, to be honest, it has been difficult at times. As a pastor and leader of this church, I bear the burden of church finances. To be honest, there are times I need to remind myself of the truth found in Isaiah 41:10 and make a choice not to fear. I am comforted by the fact that God can be trusted to answer our prayers and meet our needs.

Two weeks ago, after announcing our End-of-Year giving opportunity, we received several major gifts (along with many smaller gifts) — ALL were received with joy! God is so kind. I think He just gave us another “wink, wink” from heaven. This response of generosity should really encourage us as a church, especially because so many of us have been praying for a financial miracle. God is faithful. And even though we still have a way to go, I am believing that by God’s grace we will be able to end 2015 in the black. Amazing! By the way, you can still make an end of year gift by clicking on this link.

Finally, let us never forget that each gift given this year-small or large-was a miracle, a kindness of God. Every one of you who trusted God and gave to The Rock Church helped make 2015 a year that we will never forget. Over 100 people turned to Christ in faith and thousands heard the Gospel. Utah is different because of you! Thank-you to everyone who sacrificed and joyfully honored Jesus by giving to Him. He will not forget your generosity — and neither will we.

Church, I hope this is encourages your heart. Please know that the same God who gave us the amazing gift of His Son, Jesus, is looking after you as well. I believe that. Do you?

May we never forget the faithfulness of our God.

Humbled by the Giver,

Bill
