“Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” — Luke 2:10-12

Christmas is the time of year when the world remembers the Good News that is found in Jesus Christ. During the Christmas season, the most read passages of Scripture will be from the story told in Luke 1 & 2.

These verses tell of the announcement of a Savior (born of a virgin), of Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, the appearance of angels, and the shepherds going to the stable where baby Jesus lay.

Does this story still have relevance for us today? This Christmas, we’re going to look a little more deeply into this familiar story. In doing so, we will discover that 2,000 years later, the story of Jesus is still GOOD NEWS.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” — Luke 2:14

Join us at The Rock Church this Christmas season as we rejoice in the Good News found in the birth of Christ and we worship Him with Christmas songs.

Our Good News series runs from December 7 to December 22, 2019.
