Dear friends,

Thank you so very much for praying for my family and supporting us in so many practical and loving ways. It’s incredibly humbling, to say the least.

Please note that we started a CaringBridge journal to help document the upcoming medical challenges we will most likely face. We want to try to channel the many inquiries many of you have had and do have. For the latest updates from our family, you can simply go to the CaringBridge home page and type in stevemcinroy2.

I have a new report that will require even more faith and prayers. I have been diagnosed with the same type of cancer I had some 10 years ago. Yes, for all of you who followed my cancer journey 10 years ago, you might remember I gave the cancer at that time a pet name of Gomer. Gomer is gone, but it looks as though his creepy little brother (the surgeon lovingly named “Goo glob”) is now trying to disrupt things. I have a 1/2” x 1” mass growing around my ureters in a very medically challenging location. It’s what led to kidney failure while I was in Stockholm. With that said, we really have more questions than answers at this time, so the doctors are working hard to try to help us formulate a game plan.

Of course, we know the One who heals and we are confident and trusting in Jesus and Jesus alone. I read this comforting verse this morning:

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”Psalm 46:1

We love you and we covet your prayers,

Mac
