Bless His Name – a word by Pastor Steele Croswhite from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "the word now implies the moment. Whatever this moment holds in your life, whatever situation now finds you in, bless His name."

“Blessed be the name of the Lord now and forever.” Psalm 113:2 (NLT)

Recently, I read this verse in my quiet time and one word stuck out to me more than any other. The word now.

It’s easy to “bless the name of the Lord” when things are going well, but the word now implies the moment. Whatever this moment holds in your life, whatever situation now finds you in, bless His name.

Certainly, God is worthy of our worship in all seasons of our lives. Are you in a season of prosperity? Bless Him. Uncertainty? Bless Him. Hardship? Bless Him. Change? Bless Him! He is to be blessed “now and forever.”

In addition, I also love how Psalm 113 ends — it gives a picture of the heart of God. Verses 7 & 8 say, “He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of His own people.” (NLT)

Whatever season you are in, bless the Lord!! For no matter your circumstances (good or bad), God is worthy. His heart is for you and His plans are good.

Today, remember to “Bless the name of the Lord.”

Blessing Him with you,

Steele
