Lives are Different

Made for Mission – a word by Pastor Bill Young from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "... your servant hearts and desire to engage in God’s mission has made an eternal impact in our world. Lives are different because of YOU!"

“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)

Can you believe it? Winter is over and spring is already upon us! It seems as if this time of year brings new and exciting opportunities for us to labor hard for Jesus (and for me to start preparing my garden).

In a recent weekend message, I reminded us that we are on world mission as a church. We want to win the world – one life at a time, one world in our lifetime. In 2021, we have already seen over 25 people respond to the Gospel and turn their lives over to Jesus Christ. During Easter weekend, 20 people got baptized in obedience to their Savior. Certainly, God is at work!

Engage in God’s Mission

I’ve recently had the opportunity to lead two different people to Christ. One got baptized Easter morning! The Lord touched both lives in very special ways. They were hurting and seeking; when they heard about Jesus, their hearts were wide open. I gladly shared the amazing Truth of the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus. As a result, they repented and gave their lives to Jesus.

What a blessing to be in Utah and have the opportunities we do! I’m more excited than ever about the future of The Rock Church and our mission to Win the Lost, Build the Believer and Send the Sanctified. Without question, your servant hearts and desire to engage in God’s mission has made an eternal impact in our world. In short, lives are different because of YOU! People are visiting church, hearing the Gospel, getting saved and baptized because you are living the mission Jesus has for you. Thank you — from the bottom of my heart.

Have a wonderful week serving the Lord!

On mission with you,

Bill
