A new sermon series at The Rock Church in Draper, UT. In this three-part series, we’ll look at biblical principles which focus on the importance of financial stewardship.

A Look Into Biblical Principles of Financial Stewardship.

Jesus warned us about the danger of putting money in place of God in our lives. He said in Matthew 6:24, “You cannot serve both God and money.” In this three-part series, we’ll look at biblical principles which focus on the importance of financial stewardship. These practical teachings will help you understand (and implement) the basic biblical concepts of honoring God with your finances. Matter of Honor series runs April 15-30.

Matter of Honor Sermon Topics:

Part 1 – Honor God with Your Stewardship

Jesus spoke on the topic of money more than any other subject in the gospels. Over half of His parables relate to material possessions. In fact, Jesus spoke more about money than He did about heaven and hell! Jesus knew the importance of money and how riches can affect our lives. In this message, we will discover five practical keys to biblical giving.

Part 2 – Honor God With Your Spending

As we look at the words of Jesus (related to our money) we understand He wants us to be faithful and wise with our spending habits. Fortunately, God’s Word provides practical steps to do this. In this message, we’ll learn about kingdom priorities, counting the cost, and the danger of riches.

Part 3 – Honor God With Your Joyful Giving

Giving should be a blast! Why, then, does being generous often seem like such a burden? Jesus tells us, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” The word “blessed” can be translated as “happy.” Is that how you describe your giving? In this message, we will learn four keys to joyful giving.
