His Mercies Are New Every Morning (and Every Year) — a word by Pastor Caleb Yetton from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "His mercies bring hope. I don’t know how people go through difficult circumstances without the hope of Jesus."

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:21-23

It’s almost hard to believe that another year has come and gone. Every year, I seem more surprised by how quickly the calendar year moves. The new year always feels like a mixed bag of emotions. While January 1 can seem to give the appearance of a clean slate for goals, resolutions, and moving forward, it’s really no different from December 31.

A Lot on My Mind – a word by Pastor Billy Johnson from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "I’ve never considered myself a person who worried or was anxious. But I’m learning I can hide it when I am. That’s not good. I shouldn’t bury or hide it."

When I’ve got a lot going on, I make lists. To-do lists, to-buy lists, fix-it lists, need-to-schedule lists, calls-to-make lists, work lists, family lists, church lists…and on it goes. I even write my lists with a physical pen and paper!

250 Years of Marriage – a word by Pastor Josh Whitney from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "there were five couples in the room who had been married over 50 years! Think about that. Five couples who had faithfully followed Jesus"

“Keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us”— Philippians 3:17b

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to celebrate Krista’s (my wife) parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. There were siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, visitors, well-wishers and distant relations. Naturally, we had a blast! As we celebrated their anniversary, we talked about fond memories, laughed and honored what the Lord had done in their marriage.
