  1. Seek Wisdom

Seek Wisdom — a word from Pastor Tony D'Amico from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "Seek Wisdom to Make the Right Choices. Applying wisdom to our lives always involves consistent engagement with the Word."

As we continue in our spiritual walks, Proverbs (Chapter 2) provides lessons for us on the value of wisdom. At the same time, it reveals that wisdom protects us and guides us away from wrong decisions and people who want to lead us astray. Wisdom isn’t merely intellectual. We can certainly read, know, and even teach about it. However, it has to be applied to our actions as well to affect our lives.

Patience and Seeking in Faith – a word by Pastor Tony D'Amico from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "seeking God isn’t passive. It’s not just about sitting back. Instead, it’s a deliberate pursuit of undoubtedly engaging in prayer,"

“Don’t care how I want it now.” Veruca Salt sings these words while dancing in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. She also insists that she gets what she wants when she wants it. Seek in Faith – a word by Pastor Tony D'Amico from The Rock Church in Draper, UT. "God’s wisdom is available to all and is given very generously to those who ask! There is only one condition — we need to ask in FAITH"

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all of his ways.” — James 1:5-8

How often we have opposition or trials in our lives and try to handle them on our own. It’s easy to do because we love to fix our own problems and help others fix theirs. But, we need to remember not to rely on our own wisdom in doing this; we need the wisdom of God. When we’re faced with troubles, He will help us generously, without hesitation.

How many of you can testify that this life can be totally crazy? For a lot of us, there is a ton going on! Between work, school, marriage, kids, grandkids, church, ministry opportunities, friends, family, health issues, home improvements, etc… our time and attention can be spread really thin.
